When in Athens, a number of tours can be arranged for the participants or the accompanying persons


Half-Day City Tour of Athens

This tour gives visitors the opportunity to observe the striking contracts that make Athens such a fascinating city. Expert guides will take the Accompanying persons to see the centre of the city, Constitution Square (Syntagma), the House of Parliament, the Memorial to the Unknown Soldier, the Presidential Palace, as well as the Acropolis, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Parthenon etc.

 

Cape Sounion in the Afternoon

Drive along the coastal road, past the wonderful beaches of Glyfada, Vouliagmeni and Varkiza to the most southern point of Attica, Cape Sounion, where the white marble pillars of the Temple of Poseidon stand. On the way you have a splendid view of the Saronic Gulf and the little islands offshore. After visiting the Temple of Poseidon, you have time to walk at leisure on the rocky promontory of Sounion.


Delphi One-Day Tour

Drive through the fertile plain of Boeotia, crossing the towns of Thebes connected with the tragedy of king Oedipus-Levadia and Arachova, famous for its colourful rugs and carpets (short stop). Arrive at Delphi, the centre of the Ancient world - the “Omphalos” (Navel) of the Earth - whose prestige extended far beyond the boundaries of the Hellenic world. On the slopes of Mount Parnassus, in a landscape of unparalleled beauty and majesty, lie the ruins of the Sanctuary of Apollo Pythios. Visit the Treasury of the Athenians, the Temple of Apollo and the Museum containing such masterpieces of ancient Greek sculpture as the bronze Charioteer and the famous athlete Aghias. Lunch will be served at a taverna in Delphi. Early evening return to Athens.



Argolis One-Day Tour

Following the coastal road along the Saronic Gulf, to the Corinth Canal, which connects the Aegean Sea with the Ionian Sea. Drive on to Mycenae, on the Homeric city of the Atreides-the city “rich in gold” of the ancient poets. Depart for Nafplion through the fertile plain of Argolis, the picturesque ton nestling at the foot of a cliff crowned by the mighty ramparts of the Palamidi Fortress. After lunch leave for Epidaurus to visit the theatre (4th century B.C.) famous for its astonishing acoustics. Return to Athens by the national road connecting Epidaurus (where the famous drama festival takes place) with Corinth. Arrival in Athens is expected in the early evening.


Full Day Cruise to the Saronic Islands

The persons choosing it will be able to enjoy a one-day cruise to Saronic islands. They will sail to the island of Hydra and enjoy swimming in the crystal-clear waters. Lunch will be served on the way to the picturesque island of Poros, and in the afternoon they will arrive to the island of Aegina and will have a chance to visit the famous Temple of Afea Athena Evening arrival to Trocadero and transfer back to the hotels.



4 Days Classical Tour

Prehistory, the Classical period, Roman domination, the Byzantine Empire, the Crusades, modern times: Greece through the centuries will unfold before you on this four-day tour.

1st DAY: Leave by the coastal road to the Corinth Canal. Drive on and visit Mycenae, then proceed and visit the famous theatre of Epidaurus. Stay overnight in Nafplion.

2nd DAY: Drive in the morning through the Central Peloponnese, Arcadia-the home of Pan and the Nymphs-and the towns of Tripoli and Megapoli, to Olympia, the cradle of the Olympic Games. Visit the Sanctuary of the Olympian Zeus and the Museum. Overnight in Olympia or in the area around.

3rd DAY: Drive through the plains of Eliad and Achaia, through Patras, capital of the Peloponnese and take the car-ferry across the crossing the picturesque town of Nafpactos. Stop at the seaside areas of Galaxidi or Itea for an optional lunch. After lunch visit the Monastery of Profet Elias. Arrive in Delphi and visit Castalia Spring and the Sanctuary of Athena Provaia. Stay overnight in Delphi or Arachova.

4th DAY: In the morning visit the Sanctuary of Apollo Pythios and the Museum. Then drive through the village of Arachova, renowned for its colourful rugs and carpets. Return to Athens via Levadia and Thebes. Arrival early in the evening.
